When I started this blog a few years back the aim was to share my experiences of training and racing. Let’s just say that after a promising, if not prolific start, I soon lost my way and the updates were non-existant.
It’s not a case of me stopping the training and racing. I have done so much over the last few years, even with the mild inconvenience of a global pandemic. In fact that actually gave me the opportunity to try a few other things given the paucity of races, especially in 2020. Have a look at my updated results page to see what I’ve been doing
So anyway, as we come to the end of 2022 I thought it would be a good idea to resurrect the blog. My aim, as it was originally, is to give you regular updates on my training and racing as well as some reviews of gear.
And with that, my first update is to let you know that I’m going to be racing the Valencia Marathon in early December. This is a race I did last year as my first marathon outside of ironman races. The 12 week training block I had in the run up to the 2021 edition was physically and mentally tough. I’d never done so much running, only running. But in the end the hard work paid off and I hit my target of 3:15-3:20. Let’s see what I can do this time. I promise to keep you posted.
